Types Of Magic
Strolling Close Up.
In your hands miracles, lots of banter. Entertaining small groups of people and then moving on to the next group.
Perfect for drinks parties or before a meal.
If it’s a wedding the lull between the end of the wedding breakfast and the start of the first dance is also a good time for strolling close up. It helps integrate the evening guests with everyone else.
Table Magic.
Close up magic performed for the whole table when guests are waiting for food to arrive both before the meal and between courses.
Because tables are served at different times I’m working pretty continuously thoughout the meal.
Stage or Parlour Show.
A show performed at the front of the room in front of an audience. A parlour show is with a smaller audience, a stage show has a larger audience. But the principle is the same.
